Does anyone have these? The description says they only accept a 1/4" unbalanced connection, but the picture here shows otherwise.

Which is correct the picture or the description? I'm building a DAW for a friend and trying to get some budget monitors.

That's a Neutrik combo jack. It will accept balanced/unbalanced 1/4" as well as XLR. If they ship like that, you've got no worries.

I'm utterly baffled at the general opinion regarding smoking. I don't smoke, but it's a bar, for God's sake. That's what your supposed to expect. It's a den of iniquity where people are going to indulge in all of the minor vices and sins denied to them during their mundane workdays. You can wreck your liver, ruin your hearing, get into a fight, and pick up an STD, but somehow smoking is unacceptable? Sheesh. We've turned into a nation of entitled whiners.

I think Zzounds had a typo.

Here is a link to the brochure from Wharfdale "Pro" and the site but it lists both 8.1 and 8.2A as having the combo input.

I think you are correct Scooter B. It's funny, cause they had the same typo on every website, not just zzounds.

I ended up ordering the DP8.2A's. I was thinking bigger is probably better anyway. Most likely worth the $90 extra.
