I thought it was fine. I dont care about the sound really, the info was straight to the point, relevant and interesting.
Also adds a "human touch" to the sometimes easily misunderstood online persona's we have.

I liked the response, and the music in the background.

Had a Woodford Reserve, or two, or many with Dennis tonight, reminising on our Nashville trip. Thanks for making it happen

I thought it was cool. Good idea, reminds me of a podcast. IF there was an easy way to record to a BBS I would use it.

That was cool. The way the info was delivered was right on. The music was a nice touch. It added a dimension that kept the reply a little more interesting IMO.

I had to find a host for a couple other files so I uploaded an audio response while I was at it Red Face

I do have to add one thing about the audio reply thing, it's made me a bit self conscious Red Face Big Grin

I'm utterly baffled at the general opinion regarding smoking. I don't smoke, but it's a bar, for God's sake. That's what your supposed to expect. It's a den of iniquity where people are going to indulge in all of the minor vices and sins denied to them during their mundane workdays. You can wreck your liver, ruin your hearing, get into a fight, and pick up an STD, but somehow smoking is unacceptable? Sheesh. We've turned into a nation of entitled whiners.

so I'm at the club where I'm playing tonight...pirating WiFi as I set up my lappy porta-rig and I listened to your reply and probably looked 10 kinds of retarded as I laughed...yes, that was me burping...I had heartburn from lunch...the yogurt covered peanuts were indeed disgusting.

It would be really interesting to try a sort of audio-styled product review. I very well may give that a shot some time this weekend, just to see if it'll work out. Hopefully the extemporaneous vibe of this sort of audio review will lead to something perhaps more illuminating, and hopefully more entertaining than its text-based counterpart.

-----------------
OOn the subject of burps...my first job ever was as a (don't laugh) newscaster for the now defunct NetRadio. I did their KidsNews broadcast starting at the tender age of 13. So this year marks something like my 10th year in the audio industry. AT ANY RATE...I used to have a collection of my own burps that was quite prolific. I should start that again...it's great for entertaining clients!

Some time I'll have to email you the collection of my pops's cursing. It's pretty classic.

Keep on it Dan, this would dramatically improve our ability to communicate more complex issues/problems and replys. Great mate!

I enjoyed listening to everyone's responses.

We get caught up in these technical discussions a lot but I thought is was cool to hear another side of folks which is fun/creative. Smile

Excellent DOT, I love the advice. I'm still glad I bought 3 API 3124's. Honestly they do sit in my rack and do nothing for extended periods of time. But when it's time to practice my drums. I put on my 30 db isolation headphones and wow!!! there's that beautiful sound. Well worth every penny.
I'll be getting the Sebatron in about 1 month.
