I am putting together a voiceover project in which I recieve recordings made in other studios and sent to me via CD to add music ,percussion etc.On one of the voiceovers the persons mouth noise is overbearing , it sounds like there is a bowl of spaghetti being squished next to her when she talks.EQ can,t seem to fix it.Any ideas? Iwould be greatful for ANY advice. -Steve

Do you have scrub editing capabilities? If not, you may want to consider using it for a spaghetti commercial.

I have scrubbing ability but I have never heard of scub editing .I am using Pro Tools LE 6.1 and I am new to the program( 1 Month or so). Before I was using Acid ,no scrubs in Acid.As far as commercials, it is prob'ly one of the most unappetizing sounds you have heard.

Well I'd just do my best to scrub it out of there in lieu of getting her to do it over. It may be real tedious, but just be careful and do a little at a time. Start chopping off the rough edges first. I'm not familiar with PT - Do you have a graphic you can look at while using scrub? I'm assuming you must since my *old* Roland does. A nice graphic - that would be the ticket. Slow it down, listen, view the garbage artifacts and dissect them out. Sound reasonable?
