I picked on up hoping to use it as anXX76 flavored invound leveler for vocals...did not work out that way at all (just too much color for what I wanted), BUT

Using it as a drums or electric gtrs leveling device inserted into a bus makes it HUGE additional to the sounds we are getting now...

Stll on the quest for a KILLER inbound comp, but you could not pry the RNLA outta my hands with a crowbar now. Best "low dollar" investment I've made in 2 years...

Just an opinion.

Digging my pair. They work pretty good on certain types of vocals on mixdown, but I agree with Wireline that it's not something I'd typically use to track vox with. Almost always use the RNC in Super Nice mode for that. The RNLA's are great on a drum submix - give the drums a very colored and aggressive feel. Also pretty good on aggressive rock/fusion bass in a dense mix.

Bump, finally have had a chance to use it and I must admit it took a bit of wrestling but once I sorted a few things out it's earned a solid place in the signal chain. Great for vocals, still trying to get some settings for a fiddle. Next test is acoustic guitar but until I finish my LA2a it's a winner.
