Interesting clip! How does one get vocals so incredibly up front? Is it highpriced compression?

The only PUs I would entertain recording are the blender systems that actually have a mic inside the guitar...still, a crappy mic out front will sound better.

i always record the pickup just becuase i can ill try to use it if it fits in thanks!

Yes, yes, good idea ... what I meant before, I think, was that you don't want to rely on a pickup as the only source.

Well, in that case, could be ... though you don't need high-priced comps to get vox upfront - try an RNC.
