I entered a jingle contest sponsored by WSM 650AM and made the ten finalists. The popular vote counts for 50% of the final tally, and I have it on good authority that the competition is campaigning pretty hard. If you wouldn't mind terribly, I could sure use your vote in the final tally.

Mine is entry #1. The lyrics begin "Great care. Great Taste. No need to twist my arm..."

There are some good ones on there (as well as a couple of bad ones). If you vote for another one you like better, I will still like you and respect you for your integrity.

My understanding is that you can vote once per IP address/computer per day through this weekend, in case you somehow miraculously develop a passion for my chances to win. We could use the year's supply of chicken. I have three growing boys, and two of them right now can eat a whole chicken in one sitting...leaving the bones museum quality clean. In fact, I'm afraid to go to bed if they are still hungry.

I agree about the great ideas. In fact, I might have voted for somebody else if I didn't have a stake in it. I liked number 2 a lot. I also liked the line in one jingle that went "Our chickens would hug you if a chicken had arms."

Thank you guys very much for taking the time to vote for my jingle. Bill Cody on WSM announced this morning that #10 won, and I thought it was very deserving. I enjoyed the process of composing, recording and entering mine in the contest. Only thing is, I now have a hankering for some chicken. I guess we'll have to move to the country and throw up a chicken wire fence.
