I need some more storage. Not for my Mac, but for my PC. It is a laptop, but has the small form firewire slot - 4 pin.

This firewire drive enclosure says that it needs a computer with a 6 pin port, but I know there are cables that convert the 6 pin to 4 pin.

Do you think it would work with my lappy?

It's the right chipset for my application.

However, I don't have any prior experience of this... nonetheless, on the face of it, there shouldn't be any problem converting 6 pin to laptop-friendly 4-pin.
