Hi.
I've had a lot of problems with my new system that uses Cubase sx 3. I had some difficulties with latency, which seemed to be fixed by using the cubase sx 3 update. Now, whenever I play back my songs (after recording with my midi keyboard and) use sample tank as the main VST instrument, all of the notes are cut very short and basically just 'blurt' out. Have you got any ideas as to how this can be fixed. X-Man WINDOWS XP. 3500+ 64 BIT AMD PROCESSOR. AUDIGY PLATINUM EX SOIUND CARD. 250 GIG HARD DRIVE (X2). 2 GIG OF RAM. |

Welcome to Studio Forums, X-Man. I can't help you out with your issue, but you might try posting this same question over in the DAW forum, here.

I'll assume Dot will link/shift this to the appropriate forum.
Your system is struggling to play/stream the samples off your hard drive, to keep up with the MIDI track. One way to allow your system more time to process the samples, is when you are MIXING (not tracking) you can increase your "buffer" size. I dont know where you do this in cubase, but in pro tools its in the audio engine. Increase your buffer size to say 1024, or maximum. Try that first. Your computer seems to be up to the task. Also, what speed is the drive where the samples are coming from?
