Hi all....I'm in the midst of finalizing some choices on what to purchase for my home recording setup. I've decided to go with the iMac as my home computer and recording platform...right now, I'm sort of torn on which Audio interface to go with...so I've listed my criteria and possible choices (for now) below...any feedback/thoughts/experiences would be very helpful...keep in mind that I probably want to stay below the ~$600 price point, as far as what types of units I'm considering.

Basically, I'll be doing home recording...mostly on my own, probably no more than 1-2 tracks at once most of the time. I will be tracking guitar (probably through a pod xt), vocals, and using my Alesis Fusion keyboard. My plan is to start with Garageband. Though it will mostly be just me recording things, I think it would be nice to have a few extra simultaneous inputs available in case bandmates come by and we want to jam together with a couple guitars, or vox, maybe... Plus, it'd be nice to have something to "grow into" a little bit. Keep in mind that I'm a newbie with home recording, so I'm looking for good sound, ease-of-use, reliability and integration with the Mac. That said, here's what I'm looking at for now and some of my assumptions:

Presonus FP10: Plenty of inputs, S/PDIF (for my keyboard), pre-amps and converters decent (?). Should work fine with Mac and Garageband? Comes with lots of plugins/drumloops and Cubase LE if I choose to use it. Even the newer one at $499 seems to be a good price.

MOTU Ultralite: Works well with Mac. Has enough inputs for me, including s/pdif and additional 1/4" for guitar, etc. 2 Mic inputs should be fine for the most part. Nice size. Great reviews with Mac users. Slightly more expensive than FP10

Apogee Duet: Just came out....supposedly superior sounding as a result of excellent AD/DA technology. Integrates well with Garageband. Limited i/o might not be a problem most of the time, but could be a pain in the future.
Similar price to FP10.

Decisions...decisions....
