Apple's really getting to an interesting point with their user interface design and 'industrial design' aspects. The new iMacs are pretty much a repackaging of their existing stuff - a little faster, iSight camera built-in, add a remote (which carries over the iPod 'click wheel' paradigm), and a pretty 'multimedia appliance' front-end for their existing iTunes/DVD player/etc.

I've used Macs since they firt came out in 1984. Even still, I went into the Apple Store at a local mall last week to get an iPod for a gift. Man, those new Macs are so slick (I'm still using a G4 that's nearly 6 years old).

yep! got severley tempted in the local Apple shop a little while ago myself.

I gotta say, I have had barely any problems with my iMac (G4-20") since getting it. It runs Airport, and lots of other stuff (family computer) as well as Pro Tools LE. Great machines.
