I'm looking for some software to do up some chord charts. I'm not doing full musical scores or even lead sheets. I don't need to transcribe a single musical note. Just the chord symbols (A7, Bm, etc.). But I need bars and staves and repeat markers, etc. to show how many bars to play the chords and what not. Something like Sibelius or Finale would be major overkill for what I'm doing. Right now I'm using tables in Microsoft Word. Like this:
|Am / / / | C / / / | E7 / / / | / / / / |
The reults are close to what I'm looking for, but it's a bit time consuming doing it that way and doesn't really look all that great. Anybody know a better solution (hopefully free or cheap)?
That's just what he said - major overkill. Why would someone want to buy Finale for that?I think they make a guitar version called Guitar Tracks or something. Look at the Coda website.
All the best,
Henry Robinett

Some of the bottom of the line Coda stuff might do very well too.
It seems that Finale has a free version that might do what I need. I hadn't realized that. I'll download it and give it a try. Thanks for the suggestions.
