In His Grip Nidan |
Hey SFers,
I have a friend who wants to take a recording of his father playing accordion and clean it up. What are the options out there for this. I have a high end computer that I just got with Cubase and GS3 on it that would work for audio. I know next to nothing about the restoration software though it all looks somewhat pricey..any freeware that might do this??? Do the Restoration software out there work as plug ins or is there stand alone stuff that doesn't need a host? Any education would be appreciated! conga “...that there’s something wrong with the world, you don’t know what it is, but it’s there...” Morpheus – The Matrix http://www.machinesound.com |

Hmmm...I don't know a lot about this, but the $35 Acon's Acoustica program is a decent little entry-level program if you're not wanting to throw too much money at this. It seems to do a decent job of getting rid of noise, pops, and sizzle. Many over at KVR rate it highly and I've found it quite handy.

Here's another option in the same price range ($40)...
http://site.magix.net/english-us/home/music/audio-clean...e=1&version=standard Magix makes some great programs! I use one of the higher end programs from Magix for recording called Samplitude, and that program is the bomb. -tkr ______________________________ 'Cause I don't wanna read the book, I'll watch the movie. http://www.freewebs.com/tekker http://tekker.dmusic.com |
