I have a digital/optical port that I need to unplug one piece of gear and plug in another, arsy versy and repeat. I'm wary of the wear I am putting on these fragile looking little ports. Do they make some kind of little adapter or dongle that I can use so that I don't put excessive wear on the ports in back of my gear? Or is there an even better solution? A digital patch bay, if there is such a thing, would be overkill, but some kind of coupler might do the trick.

Thanks!

Indeed there are, in various styles, configs and prices. I believe Hosa makes a small optical patch bay...

I wouldn't worry about it.

Make sure you have a return policy wherever you get a patchbay, if you choose to. I think you'll find you may need to power down the DPS24 to change them. At least, mute the outputs. Of course that depends totally on how you're using them...but, nothing sucks worse than the sound of digital unlock noise.
