is there ANY way to get audio from PTLE into another app on the same machine? ie into coreaudio?

I can't find it in the manual. Rewire? no help as far as i can see, only works with specific client apps. I'm resorting to taking the optical output of the 002R into the macs optical input but this is unsatisfactory for many reasons...

any suggestions?

a file transfer is your only option I'd say, especially since most DAWS dont like running more than one app at ther same time.

Save the regions or mixes as WAV and import them into the other app.

I posted this a while back for another PT user.

I recently had to do this from Pro Tools(at another Studio) to Cubase(my place).

Warning!! do this to a copy of the file not the "actual" file.

Delete all unwanted tracks.
Create a Region at bar 1 starting at 00.00.00 to the end of the longest file. That will give each track the same starting point.

Pro Tools’ Consolidate command, to consolidate, select all the audio from bar 1 to end of track (probably best to do this in grid mode), and shortcuts are shit+alt+3 to consolidate, and then shift+apple+k to export.

That will ignore all plugin settings though, so if you want to include any processing, you'll need to either process using audiosuite versions of your plugins, or bounce to disk each channel at a time (if you're using aux sends on any tracks).
Warning do this to a copy of the file not the "actual" file.

Then export to disc.

Hope this helps......
