I'm not sure if this is possible, but I would like to know if I can control parametres of my plugins using midi information, in my DAW (Sonar 7).

Say I want to record my e-guitar, going from clean to distortion. I want to use my midi footswitch, to turn on the distortion in Guitar Rig, so I won't edit it using envelopes later.

So, is this possible?
