Hi

I've started to use a Focusrite Saffire (firewire interface) in my desktop Vaio, and there is a constant noise (white noise, clicks, pops etc). This noise seems to be generated from windows -- e.g., the noise changes when I move the mouseor when particular options are selected. Recording and playback are working fine -- but this messy background noise is constantly in the background. Can anyone advise please?

Can you give any details of how you fixed the problem? I have the same thing. I just put together a mobile recording setup with an M-Audio Firewire 410. The noise generated by the laptop when using Windows is very loud. I don't see mention of this problem on other forums.

How did you solve the ground loop problem?

I have the same problem too. I have either unplugged the laptop or put a continental, two pin adapter on the end of the laptop plug. But this isn't the best or safest and can't be the only way!

Does anyone know any other way?

Peace
