HelpSo I got a new 22" widescreen and everything seems stretched horizontally. Round knobs are now egg shaped and text is pretty hard to read at a glance. Is there any setting I'm supposed to change or is this just the nature of the beast? The graphicks didn't look out of whack in the store but it was playing a movie so I don't know.

Lance,

Right click on your Desktop, go to Properties, then Settings. Play with you resolution settings. You're probably using a resolution that is configured more for a typical screen. Did you change this setting after you went to a widescreen monitor?

Alright, that worked perfectly, thank-you. Now, will the resolution have any effect on cpu performance?

Assuming you have a fairly healthy system, I'd say not very likely.

I have a 22inch monitor too and I'm using the highest resolution possible that matches my screen and haven't notice one problem since upgrading my monitor.

Glad to hear it's working for you.
