You can set the chat to use HTML intead of JAVA, this could be a workaround for the ones that still have problems with the chat.

Dan, you could make a few scheduled times of the week, for a start. Say, meet here, at whatever hour duration, at this time, day, etc etc.. or maybe just designate people to post topic times, possibilities.....

Working fine on Safari 2.0 (build 412.2) under Mac OS X 10.4.2 (build 8C46) on a dual-2.7 G5 - although it takes a little bit (10 seconds or so) for the Java coffee-cup icon while the applet's getting going.
