The new threeQ is quite the unit. We have been recording with it for a few weeks now, and the results have been amazing. The front end is just like a Grace 101. Very clean yet, airy.
The improved EQ with the mid sweep is very warm, very British, and very useful for tracking. The compressor, well it is killer. It operates a bit differently than the old Meek, so you need to get used to it. A little goes a very long way, but there is so much squash available that the compression effects are wonderful for drums, guitars, and heavy vocals. The switchable outputs also help a great deal because this baby has some gain! We will post on our website sample settings shortly. As always, if we can help, let us know.... this is a really nice looking unit...
feature wise..... it's exciting, to me, to have manufacturers and engineers involved in the process of getting info out to the (end) users...... thanks dot, and alan! ______________________ Ralph: "My cat's breath smells like cat food." |

Whahooo!
How about throwing one of the SP LSD mics in for a drawing as well? Or I can just save you the trouble and have Alan ship it to me direct. A man is no fool who gives up that which he can not keep to gain that which he can not lose. |

Hi Alan,
Is the compressor the same basic circuitry as the old VC3? How about the preamp? If not, what are the differences? |

That thing does look cool if it lives up to Alan's excitement. The price looks very nice.

Count me in too!
Although Alan already knows if I don't win, I will end up buying one anyway. Alan, are you planning on offering 1/4" balanced to XLR cables as an option available through PMI? Am assuming they'll be 1/4" balanced to 1/4" balanced, along with XLR to XLR's also. Correct? Thanks! |

Fuck the purple banana! Nidan |
As a proud owner of a lot of Alan's other gear, a little voice in my head keeps reminding me that I have no JoeMeek stuff.
And that's just not right. ---------------------------------------------- What you've just typed is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever seen. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. |

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Have a number of SP mics (an luv em) but none of The Green - gotta remedy that someday. Probably gonna be a good one too - Alan & Co. always put out some good stuff.
