Cool mics for a hot summer
Hey, folks, we're deep into summer now and continuing with the giveaways at Studio Forums. I've had the chance to use all the mics in the Peluso line over the last half year, and these things are kicking ass left and right. The 22 251 and 22 47 represent an entirely new level of quality and sonics available in a microphone in the $1K range. I've used and tested nearly every single mic on the market from around $1K and under, and if there's a mic to get pumped about - it's these puppies. And these mics complement each other like salt and pepper. The 22 251 is patterned in the C12/251/414 tradition, and delivers a full, neutral sound with bright sparkling highs. The 22 47 is patterned in the 47/67 tradition, and delivers robust mids with a darker, rounder tone on top. So, this month – it's your choice, if you're the winner chosen for one of these beauties. Oh Baby...come to pappa my mic locker is quite anemic! 1 SM-57, 2 OKtavia 012s, 1 MXL v-67, 1 ADK ML, 1 Senheiser 609e silver and a POS Shure Prologue.
