Just an update (no one get excited...yet) - I've gotten some private emails about when I am gonna post some examples.

Apparently there is a slight backorder for the 2247, therefore it has not arrived as of the moment...may be another week or two, which is OK I guess...(I'd rather it be right than fast, if ya know what I mean...)

As soon as she gets here, I'll get some different examples of the mic through various pres and the RME Fireface 800 I just ordered as well...guitars, whatevers....

I tend to assign genders to things (I think English is the only language that does not inherently do so....)

Some examples:

- Hardware, long term goods, vehicles, Navy vessels, great guitars/amps/mics, etc...female

- All cats and psuedo-dogs (like pomeranians, Yorkies, etc)...female (regardless of what they REALLY are)

- Good dogs (what we call 'dawgs'), bears, large animals....male

- Anything with a certain sense of uncontrolled awe...female (I'll NEVER get used to a hurricane with a male name....)

- I know its kinda silly...but so am I....

Update:

John Peluso himself called and explained the entire situation for the delay...perfectly understandable...we had a nice visit.

To me, this speaks VERY highly of a product manufacturer - takes the time out of his hectic day (especially right before AES) to personally call a customer....

If the gear makers of the audio world paid 1/8th the attention to details of the PERSON like Mr. Peluso, the world would be a better place....
