Here's some basic rules regarding the prize giveaways at Studio Forums:

1. To be eligible to win you must be a registered member of studioforums.com and have 25 or more posts within the month of the giveaway, or whatever post count total is designated for a particular giveaway.

2. Rapid-fire bullshit posts only to rack up post counts can result in disqualification.

3. The winner/s will be announced generally on the first day of the next month. It will be announced in studioforums.com and the winner will also be sent an email. You have 30 days to claim your prize and email us your physical address. If you do not claim your prize within 30 days, the item goes back on the block and will be given away in a future contest to someone who's more on the ball.

4. Not eligible are employees or relatives of any sponsoring manufacturer.

5. Free is free. Prizes will be shipped out to the winner/s via the manufacturer. All the shipping charges are included with prizes - i.e. WE PAY SHIPPING. YOU DO NOT PAY SHIPPING.

6. If winner lives in a country outside of the US, and the winner's country charges tax on the prize/s - winner is responsible for any taxes incurred. i.e. WE WILL SHIP THE ITEM, BUT WE WILL NOT PAY YOUR COUNTRY'S IMPORT TAXES ON THE ITEM.

7. Winners will be chosen at random in a drawing.

8. Winners continue to be eligle for all future giveaway prizes. i.e. IF YOU WIN THIS MONTH YOU CAN ALSO WIN NEXT MONTH AND THE MONTH AFTER THAT.

9. You're not allowed to ask Studio Forums moderators repeated dumb questions about clarifying what are some very simple rules.

10. Have fun!

Dan,
Can't we have a contest for once where one guy doesn't win, but everyone else does. I hate to see so many guys feeling left out. Even if the prize is just a Tootsie Roll Pop or something?
Rule # 10 also eludes me.

It is better to try and fail, than to never try at all.

You ever try shipping 534 Tootsie Roll Pops? The costs are staggering. Eeks

Extra bonus points for those of you whom recognized that 534 is the total number of registered users. At the moment Sonar

I never said I couldn't hear the difference. But, there's a return on investment thing between those, too. Boutique pres= $1000k/ch. MonsterMic cable=$40-50/ch.

I'm not opposed. Wink Actually, Great River would probably move a few more units based on them sending me some. Why? My stuff sounds good. People want to blame that on some gear. "What preamp did you use for those vocals?" ..."A Great River MP2-NV1."..."Cool, I have got to get one of those-it sounds great!"..."Thanks." I get the same reaction with the DMP3. But, believe me, if it's here, I'll choose the big iron. And then that wil be why I sound good.

But, then, I still think Roland shoulda fronted me a 2480, too. You guys notice the little buying explosion/new membership over at DPSworld?

At least I'm modest. Coffee

...so, after I get done spending a bunch of money, you're gonna send me even more expensive toys to play with...that may shut me up, but it might get me divorced, too. Wink

BTW, DPS24 is here. Reverb shootout this weekend. Testing the DPS pres, too. Next phase: Revive the GigaPC. Last: moveable acoustic panels/bass traps and Mackie824s. Actually, I need to head over to Ebay and look for the 824s. That can really come anytime...just trying to save a little $$ buying second hand.

Between holidays and a marriage in the family, I'll be lucky to be actually making music too much before new years...just trying to get all this stuff worked out prior.
