The meek shall inherit the Earth, fine, but can I please inherit the Meek?

Sounds interesting. Alan, do you have any more info on the 'signal feedback to the condenser element to help reduce distortion at high levels' feature beyond the half-sentence on the website and manual/insert sheet? Is it anything like the use of 'feedback' in some power amp designs, or the clipping-reduction circuitry in some Nagra recorders?

A filesharing network, Kazaa or something, would be a good place to start looking.

Dan,

They are the original Joemeek design from a few years ago, with a better transformer, and that is about it. We did not change it much as it is quite good as it is.

We have used both the JM27 and JM47 in the studio, and they are warm, airy, and very quiet. They are basically like some other familiar name brands that you see out there. We did have to change the height of the capsule inside the new JM47's headgrille for better performance, but that is about it... The JM47 is a totally new body.

Whoever gets it will have a real nice mic to use...

Perhaps if JSLATOR wins you guys could accidentally cross a wire or two to give him a little extra phantom power boost on the low end!

Ummmm....isn't THAT kind of proximity effect bad for microphones?

Big Laugh

----------------------------------------------

What you've just typed is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever seen. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
