Hell, Warhead, that's still a fun thing to do Wink Razz

Actually, on the whole, it's been extremely warm this year, considering. It's the first time I've seen things get below zero, to be honest. Usually this time of year the air temp gets well below zero, sometimes windchills get to -50 or more! So I can't complain...besides, the summers are like Calcutta! Eek Mad

Jeeze you guys! Those temps don't sound all THAT cold. First 3 mornings this week we had 12 BELOW zero, and that wasn't wind chill. The wind chill factor was 20 - 25 below zero!

Yee gads, I hate winter! What the hell am I still doing in this part of the country?!? Slap

Cold HAH! We sumbitches in New England laugh at cold! Although I did have a problem. I was out for a while, scrapping ice off my car in minus 10 degree windy weather, and sneezed violently. I then noticed something running down my pantleg. When it popped out of my jeans and rolled onto my shoe, I was quite surprised to see my left nut...... So stay warm out there! Big Laugh

Forever looking for that perfect take...........

Wink

i've had my shure sm57 since 1981.

it spent 5 years of full time gigging, 6 nights a week.....

and never failed me.

it is the main mic that i use NOW, for recording guitars and some vocals....

i spent $95 on it.... WITH a mic holder!
and a high impact plastic case for it!

absolutely, the best money i have EVER spent!

I would think that the answer would be a $10,000 mic that you bought for $100 at a garage sale.

Dunno, have you dropped into HC lately. The price point for 'what will give me professional recordings' seems to have dropped to about $20.

The place does seem to be picking up more and more posts from people who don't seem to even know how to use the search facility, google or read a book or something. There's only so many times you can answer the question 'how do I plug my guitar/mic/keyboard into my computer to make pro recordings' Slap
