Revving up with more giveaways! Red5 Audio will be giving away some goodies over the next couple of months. First up for May is an RV8 cardioid microphone. The complete kit includes 1 RV8 Microphone, shock-mount, lockable aluminium flight-case, foam windshield and spare shock-mount elastic.

I've posted some on Red5 mics in different forums, but have mostly kept things to a dull roar because they've only been available in the UK. Red5 Audio is currently setting up US offices, and you'll soon start seeing much more of this company and their products.

The RV8 is a very cool neutral, airy-sounding mic. Applications such as amps, acoustic instruments, vocals, amps and drum OH's are handled with ease. We tested over 15 mics on drum OH's and the RV8 came out one of the top winners.

Of course with me digging the Red5 Audio mics as much as I have over the last couple of years, I won't hide the fact that when I knew they were getting ready for the US I got them on the line-up at Sound Pure and now have their mics in stock. I didn't see it... Maybe I didn't zoom in far enough. All I see is Red5 Audio across the top and RV8 going down the mic... Hmmm...

i can't believe it. I zoomed in real close like Tao said and it did have his name on it......only it was inside of a red circle with a line through it.

Wow. There are more brands of mics than I can keep up with. Luckily we have Dan to do a lot of the leg work.
