I'm definately leaning toward the tube. When in doubt, ask..."Does it have a tube in it?"

Ahhh, I didn't realize the TC was cardiod only... Yeah, that'd be a tough decision... I'm sure glad it ain't me.

The TL does have a 6072 in it... So does my CE, dnd it is sooo, totally the shit. Export c12's and 251's used that tube as well.

And while the CE has a NOS, and a designer (at ADK) said the new 6072 tubes sound extremly similar with less noise... So he actually prefered it on many sources... I can't recall where I read this, but my memory on others takes on useless sonic subtlties is as good as your luck.

Yeah, I'd have had a hard time deciding between a clean multi-pattern and a nice smooth tube mic...guess it's good I didn't win.

Toob mic though...of course I have some B-3's and so the multi is not as important maybe.

I've read reviews...talked to Flatcat, who won one a while back.

I'm going tube. In the context of what I do, multiple patterns just aren't super important. A vintage vocal vibe, could be if it sounds good...and reviews say it does.

You know, I may break my own rule here...I've got 5 tunes here ready for lead vocals-then mix...I've always said don't wait for gear to record...but, I may just wait for this thing to come in, give it a shot at the vocals. No promises...and I may call Dreamhire and get a AT4060 for the week to compare...I hear nothing but good about that one.

Been looking for a new vocal mic...one with a little more 'tude...this may be the ticket.

Send it on-these tracks are screaming to be sung!
