I haven't tried the se5500, Pro Audio. My favorite SE mic I've tried is the SE3600.

Cool, Dan!

Must be nice to have so much free time on your hands.
I mean, when all you have do to with your time is review a b'zillion products, write books, build studios, record projects, answer questions, and discover perpetual motion, it's obvious that you should have more than enough time to create an entirely new audio forum:~)

Best wishes and let me know if I can help in any way.

Glad to see more folks coming in the door. Studio Forums is now two weeks old. We've got over 100 members so far and are in the top 200,000 sites on the web. Not bad for a couple of weeks!

If you haven't so far, please use this topic to "sign in".

Hi everyone! Nice to be in "at the beginning" here. Hey, why don't you display our member numbers!?! Anyway, I found this place with the link from the Listening Sessions. Dot, you've been very helpful over at the Planet and am happy to get involved here, especially since you are "moderating".
I have a VS1680, Mackie VLZ, ART Prochannel, Millennia Origin, Presonus APC88? compressor/gate, Blue Tube (great for direct electric guitar), some AKG drum mics, AT4050, SM81, Event Tria monitors blah blah blah...
I've been playing and writing music for 30 years, recording for about 4 years. Wrapping up a CD to sell - mixing right now, but will have it professionally mastered.
Enough for now I guess...

Howdy to everyone here. Im just venturing over from the HC board (Dr. Strange over there) and I see a lot of familiar peoples. Seeing as im also a musician I thought id start picking up some recording gear for my own projects and have some fun. Later Wink

Hello, I've been following the link from mojopie, and just found all these other forums recently! Yikes.
Hello to everyone, and thanks for putting these forums together. I'm sure it's a lot of work. I appreciate it.
I'm just a guy with some songs who enjoys recording them, and having fun with friends.
Thanks for all the info so far, and hope I can add whenever the oppurtunity arises.
Thanks again, and take care.
