I give a thumbs up for the Hamburg...FWIW. A little on the dark side (I like that), but they got the Neumann "low mid" thing done well. It doesn't seem to be so much a boost as a constant response-never overwhelming, just never gone...I can go all the way to falsetto (loud or soft) and it doesn't thin out. Retains it's "body".
Little less richness in dynamic response and dimension compared with my TLM193, but a tad more (flattering) top end, and less than half the price. So...since I'm always adding a bit of highs into the TLM...nice mic. Makes me wonder what the Vienna's got going on... YMMV. |

What!!? I didn't even know. Sheesh. I have one day to get my posts p there. Let me see. How many posts do I have? I never seem to win these things. I have a feeling I get picked and then someone decides to pick someone else. Hm. ADK mics are nice. Hamburg or Vienna? I lived in Vienna twice. Doesn't that count? I lived in Munich. Is that close enough?
