Hi, all--

My trio, Jazzooo, is touring to promote our new CD, Two Days in November. This is the album recorded by Dan Richards and documented at www.thelisteningsessions.com/jazzooo.htm.

Anyway, I wanted to post our gigs and I hope some of you will come by to dig the music and say hello!

SAN DIEGO
Dizzy's in downtown, 344 Seventh Sunday May 16th at 7pm; $10 cover--all ages. A great loft-style venue for live jazz. www.dizzyssandiego.com

BERKELEY
The JazzSchool, Hardymon Hall at 2087 Addison. Friday June 4th at 8 pm; $18 for two unique sets; all ages. Nightclub-style seating, and supposedly very good acoustics. www.jazzschool.com

HALF MOON BAY
LaDiDa JAZZ CAFE' on Purissima. Saturday June 5th at 8pm. $15 cover includes homemade snacks and two sets of music. This will be a blast--the cafe is run by guitarist Jeff Massanari and his wife Jo Dee. Doors open at 7. BYOB for this gig!

ARROYO GRANDE
Sunday June 6th. We're doing a private concert in the music room of a spectacular house in the hills of Arroyo Grande. Tickets are $20 and includes great wine, cheese and snacks. There is limited seating, but if you'd like to attend I can make it happen--just email me at Jazzooo@aol.com.

VISALIA
Monday, June 7th. We're still trying to nail down the venue, but we WILL be playing there somewhere that night! Email me if you want to stay posted on the arrangements.

If you want to hear some clips from the CD, swing by www.dougrobinson.com.

WE're getting a lot of airplay in San Diego right now, and I'll be doing an hour-long show on KSJS 90.5FM (webcast on www.ksjs.org) on Sunday 5/30 from 9-10 am PST to promote the album and the concerts!

Thanks.

Doug

Too bad you're not a bit closer to Monterey (like Kuumbwa in Santa Cruz.) I'd like tohear the band, bnut Half Moon is a bit too far for my old bones to stay awake on the return trip...

Hey, Dasher--I hear you! Kuumbwa was on my list, but the timing didn't work out. Next time.

But you know...you'd be so wired from the incredible music that you'd be home in no time!

"What about the Edmond Oklahoma request?"

Hey, Scooter--I'd play anywhere in the world where a) people wanted to hear it and b) we could make some bread. But unless the Jazz Lab were moved to fly us out there, it's hard to imagine us putting together such a trip on our own. I'm not sure the four day driving tour we just finished is worth it financially (artistically is another story).

Do you know someone there? Do they ever book out of state bands?

Hey Jazoo

While I am not in the know with anyone at the Jazz lab they do bring in out of state artists that are touring.

http://www.ucojazzlab.com/

JANE MONHEIT appeared recently

There are links at the site for booking information, featured local artists, and if you check the bottom of the SCHEDULE link it will also list some semi-national artist that have appeared.

There are also photos of the facility etc.

At least check it out and send them some information...they may be able to make it happen!

Jazz, you might want to bookmark this site:

Sambuca

The two clubs here in Dallas do great business. The downtown location has just moved into an exceptionally cool performance space. Just wanted you to know in case you plan another tour anytime soon.
