Sadly, I already have one. Of course, I could find a use for a second one!

If only I knew 1/10th.

I just tracked an indie-rock guy with an acoustic electric through the REDDI into a 1NV. Bitchin. This thing sounds great on its own, but it works with other pres like butter on toast.

Interesting! Has anyone ever used to DI boxes to track bass or guitar?

I usually don't track electric guitar DI. I almost always track bass DI, and the REDDI is outstanding for that. If I'm tracking an acoustic with an internal pickup, I'll mic it like usual and also DI to see if it adds something.

While I am still experimenting alot with a semi recent Millenia TD-1 (LOVE IT! Thanks Dan) purchase and new preamp in my main bass I have not found what I wanted yet with a DI box without going through a preamp as well.

My SansAmp Bass DI is very usefull for some things but going straight into the board from my active bass was very flat and lifeless.

Adding the SansAmp sounded better but the tube emulation sounded like it added a phasing (as in slightly out of phase) sound.

Then I went SansAmp through an ART TubePac (or toob pac) and it sounded much better.

Recent DI electric guitar tracking (for reamping later) also seemed to benefit greatly by running my Roland Cube 30 preamp out through the TD-1 Tube path. On the way back out the signal goes through a small low watt tube amp and mic'd and of course preamped again.

This works for me due to my budgetary gear limitations but obviously goes against the grain of the best audio engineering technique wich favors the shortest electronic path between your sound source and recording device and getting the exact sound you want at your source so as little as needed processing is applied.

So try it and see if it works for you on a solo'd instrument and if possible record a DI box only track at the same time to compare (or combine) the two at mix time.

A man is no fool who gives up that which he can not keep to gain that which he can not lose.

You should check out the Radial gear. I've got some here if you want to email and maybe I can loan you my JDI for a few days. I've got a few sessions upcoming so it'd be a few weeks before I can let it go.
