Hi guys,

Just wanted to put the word out. There are 2 Oktava MC-012 mics on ebay for cheap. They include all 3 capsules and the pad. They go off about mid-day, so this may be too late, but thought I'd throw it out here anyway!

I'd love to have them myself, but I have other obligations right now.

Later,

Joel

3+ hours left. They are cheap!! A lot cheaper than I paid. Lots of bidding though. They're about $135 now. Wonder how heated it'll get.

There's about an hour left and they're still the same price they were this morning. Maybe someone will end up with a great deal!

Yeah, Daniel, just never seems to be enough cash to go around. I was doing some rough estimates, last night, on how much I've spent already this year on music equipment, etc, and it floored me. I'm neeeding to replace the mixer we use for our live shows. I don't really want to buy another cheapie, so will spend more on that.

As for the MC012's, I'd love to have a pair. From what everyone is saying, they're well worth the money. I just don't have a serious need for them at this time. Maybe after the first of the year.

Joel, I got lucky with mine. I paid $88 for the pair shipped to my door slightly used off eBay and they're very well matched. Awesome little mics bro! Incredible deal for the price. And if your dog eats 'em, you're not out much coin!

Warren,

I don't have dogs, so that won't be a problem! Big Grin

I think they ended up bringing about $150 each, which probably still isn't too bad. Sounds like you got the deal of the year though, $88 for a pair, WOW! That was with the converters too, wasn't it?

What all do you use them on? What are your favorite application?

Joel, when you say converters, do you mean the extra capsules (hypercardioid, omni and cardioid)?

The deal was, I paid $140 for both of them shipped. The guy's ad had mentioned the capsules in it. When they arrived, only cardioid was in the cases.

I emailed him about it, and he credited me back to $88 shipped.

I really really really really really really like this mic on acoustic guitar. It would be great for just about any percussion overdub duties. It does a decent job on drum overhead as well.

Here's my Mojopie.com review.

Excellent little mics, they practically give them away.
