I have enjoyed the links as well. If I was Dot I'd be into this for the review gear. Have you seen the pic of SDC's... wow You should record a song using nothing but SDC's. If I had all those mics in my possession I would have wasted a roll of flim. I'd do individual shots with me just holding a pair or so. And then I do some glamour shots of me in a bathtub full of them, and holding them all with my hands out like I was doing a cover for High Times.... I'd have so much fun!

oooh, Blackbird . The Neumann KM84 killed the poor little Marshall. For the song anyways. The Marshall sounded bright and fake. I've heard the mk012 is similar sounding as a KM84. Maybe some are, some seem more comparable to a paper weight and others to a megaphone.

Ooooh, I think the V69 against the M149 is even more interesting. I think the V69 sounds better.. and even if I'm wrong the Neumann doesn't sound 3700 bucks better.

One thing about my last observation, I know the 603 is an extremly cheap mic, and the differences weren't night and day... but the Neumann had a amazing quality..

Yup,

That V69, though a little softer in level works, at the discounted price...no less.

I'd like to hear the B-1 thrown in there, it's the best yet for my Larrivee, under the $300 mark.

Though the Rode mics sound pretty good on Dan's Larrivee test in the listening sessions.
