HELLO
I want to buy the cheapest and the best condenser microphone for recording mainly vocals and evrything else.
Which one is better STUDIO PROJECTS B1 or RED5 AUDIO RV8?

juno, these are both very good mics. The B1 is fairly neutral sounding and the RV8 is a little brighter. Both have more of an Austrian sound rather than a German sound. Both work well over many applications - vox, acoustic gtr, drums, drum OH's, room mics.

I think pound for pound, the RV8 might be a better overall mic, but it's going to run more than the B1. Then again, the B1 is a great place to start. I even recommend it as a first mic in an article I wrote on A step-by-step guide to building a mic cabinet
