I would love to get more details on how Track 4 was recorded. This has become my new standard to try to reproduce. I think it is an excellent recording.

I guess I am most interested in the guitars. I read the summary of mics and preamps used. Were there 4 guitar tracks? What kind of amps and how were they miked? How were the guitar tracks mixed? I would also be interested to hear about the mic placement on the snare drum.

Thanks in advance!

hey,
there we're like four dirty tracks done on a messa boogie mark 4 (2) 57 (2) gt44 and two more dirt tracks on direct on the pod ......... 2 clean (a 57 on his line 6 flextone i believe).
all mics were placed close (" from the grill) just off center of the speaker cone .

the snare was miced just over the rim pointing down about an " in from the top snare head
