I read that this mic is actually 2 mics in one. A condensor and dynamic. Have you tried this out?

I am curious 'cause I use multiple mics on guitar cabs and wonder how this would be. Might save some time with phase issues.

I know it's meant to be a kick mic. How is it that way?

j6p, I don't know very much about the AE2500. There's a review here.

We could possibly look at adding it on some future sessions along with other interesting, unusual and specialty mics.

Thanks Dot, It looked kinda interesting to me. Guess no one has used it yet. The prices I've seen were so different from one another I didn't know what to think. I'll sit back and wait.

I saw this mic today, USED, at GC for $299. Made me wonder what a mic that's been around for a few months was doing for about 1/2 price.
The top was off it looked cool. Just not $300 cool.

Must maintain buying freeze. Use the gear I have.
