We have (9) musician rented practice rooms with a computer recording station 100 to 150 feet away. What cable do you suggest we use in between?

Our initial idea is to have a 2 to 3 computer station room with 2 to 3 mobile racks and electric conduit in the walls and ceilings above (for example - 16 channel Mackey mixer into MOTU 828mk2 into PC running Nuendo).

We have two separate recording studios in the same building so this is for practice sessions and live tracking only. Quality and long-term commercial use are concerns but inexpensive cable is also. What cable type, available in 500 foot lengths minimum, would you recommend for this application?

maybe get 8-4 or 16-4 pre-built audio snakes in 150ft length.

example: http://www.midwestcommunications.com/pa401.html

$300-450 each.

Hey Man

Check out OSP audio on ebay. Great quality snakes for a very little money. I bought a 100 foot 32 channel snake, used 25 feet from my live room and used the rest of the cable to wire my whole studio! cost me about 300 bucks after shipping.

Good luck!

It'll be the most dangerous campaign stunt since Dukakis jumped the Snake River Canyon!
