Hi,
I was wondering what you do with racked gear that doesn't have a power on button.

Is there a power conditioner that can be racked like a furman that would let you choose which plugged in inputs to be active?

Because, I have power strips but I have two pieces of gear that are racked and I don't use them always at the same time, so I don't want to have them into the same powerstrip. So it becomes too crowded with powerstrips.

thanks,
evt

One of those gizmos that were made to control the power for computers work well...individual on and off switches, plus a whole system on/off switch...

I think they were originally made to sit your video monitor on...but they do work pretty well..

Hi,
Can you post a link to one?
I also wanted to tell you that I checked out your website and it looks really great. I like the shutter setup too. Really cool. I wanted to email you, but there was no contact email address on your site.
There was a typo under veterans... you put "GREAT music form everyone, instead of from. And, I couldn't find a contact email.

Such a little think I wanted to email you instead of posting about it.

Looks really cool what you're doing and your setup.

There are also rackmount 'power strip' boxes with switches for the individual power outlets, marketed to DJ's by American DJ type companies to switch strobes, fog machines, and 'moonflower' crap (umm...I mean, 'non dimmable lighting instruments and effects'...) on and off. You can see an example in John Scrip's pics of his setup in the Mastering forum.
