Hi folks, I am in a tough spot right now.

I got mod fever and bought a V76t and a Peluso Capsule (CEK12) and installed the capsule into the V76t. That went smoothly.

For the first few hours my life was great the mike was working fine and it sounded incredible!!

After that though, the mic began making a constant loud noise like oceans crashing into flood walls and then finally died.

I called up the only person I could think of John Peluso and he said it was the 1000pf capacitor. He said up the voltage because it was under spec'd and I did exactly that going with a Chiclet 1000pf 630v capacitor.

I also did myself a favor and got a new tube to eliminate that being a problem.

Well here's the sad part.

I installed the capacitor no problem.

The tube is another story.

I removed the tube (old one) and installed the new one.

While putting it back in place one of the black wires came loose from the pcb.

I called John again at Peluso Labs. He told me it was the ground wire so grounding point it goes to.

While I was resoldering the black wire the f*&^king white one pops right off the pcb as well!!

I had a vague idea where it went and replaced it.

Well long story short, mic aint working.

I can't find a single picture of the innards of a properly wired v76t or for that matter any other tube mic Marshall makes.

I am at the mercy of this board. I am in dire straights here and want to get this mic back to where it needs to be.

I think I might be better off, putting the working Peluso Capsule into a FET mic (less problems I figure) and having maybe Peluso do the mic mod himself with a different capsule.

however if somebody can help me out here, I would greatly appreciate it.

If anybody knows where what color wire from the tube socket goes where or has a picture of it that would be great.

If somebody would be willing to take on the herculean effort of getting the mic to work I got money, just no clue as what to do with these wires.

Please, if you can give me a hand here.

Thanks
Illumination
