I'm selling my Soundellux U195. It's been a great mic for me. I hate to sell it but I need the money for other things now. Here is detailed info on the U195.

The sale includes the original padded wooden mic box (has some nicks and scratches in it, which is why the mic itself does not!). The mic itself has some minor scuffing down near the XLR connector and is otherwise clean and in excellent condition. The original spider shockmount is included as well as plenty of spare elastics. The elastics are the newer style but fit the spidermount fine and are actually a bit heftier than the original elastics. Everything functions as it should, the mic has never needed service or been mishandled and is ready to go. All you will need to do is open the package, get the mic set up, give it some phantom power and start recording!

I will overpackage to ensure the mic, shock and box make it to you safe and sound.

Dirty, put this up on Craigslist in your area or nearby areas. It will sell this weekend, even if it comes from outside of your area.

If it is outside of your area, take extra precautions.

Good luck........!

Does that include me? Red Face

Well, anyway, there's still next weekend for Craigslist when you really want to sell it.

Here's my score:
4 guitar pedals
Rode NTK
CAD E-200
AT4033

Studio Forums - many, many moths = 0 sales. Studio Forums FS 05/05 = no sales

I couldn't delete this as people responded.

No one responded to my U195 or K2 here so I deleted those ads when they sold on Gearslutz within days.

Craigslist:
pedals = all sold within hours.
NTK = sold within 30 minutes - I placed the add, had an email within
minutes, got a shower and drove 5 inutes and it was sold - ca$h baby!
E200 = sold within days
AT-4033 = sold within days

Dirty, why don't you ever trust my advice? Slap2

Ask Gonzo. He had pedals for sale for like a year on various forums. I told him about Craigslist and he said he sold them all within 5 hours.
Gonzo's pedals

I love Studio Forums, and would not mind buying gear here because of the members, but I only sold one item here.

BTW everyone, this is a very good mic.

Although I sold one, I am almost tempted to buy Dirty's.

It looks to be in great shape, the price is very fair, especially since it somes with a shockmount and includes shipping, and Dirty is a reputable guy .

Popmann should buy this mic. Really, I think it's the mic for him. He's tried everything but.
Sheesh, he doesn't listen either Razz Smile

Mad, not sure where you live (Cali?) but here in the Fox Vally WI people tend to be a couple years behind. Craigslist hasn't really caught on with the general populace here and there are very, very few music gear ads much less people around here looking to spend $700+ on a mic (even if it IS a $1200 mic!) I doubt it would go any faster there than here where everyone who looks at the ads is interested in decent recording gear. If it doesn't sell here in due course it will likely be gone on ebay within 5 days.

I agree it's a very good mic and I'd keep it but unfortunately I need the money more than the mic.

Whats the harm in Dirty putting it up here, first? I think it's solid.

I knew when I put up the Tubetech SMC2b,that it was doubtful it would sell here, but did it none the less, just in case.

Bazz, there's no harm in Dirty putting it up anywhere he chooses. He could advertise on Mars if he chooses, it's his perogative.

I'm just trying to share some thoughts regarding my experiences and hope they are helpful. Is there something wrong with that?

BTW, I recently sold something here to a respected member of the forums and it was quite rewarding knowing the gear I cared for som much wen to a good home. Still....

Dirty, FWIW, people often search craigslist for gear from all over the country. Although it's meant to be local for obvious reasons (face to face cash deals), it's becoming much more than that.

I live in Philadelphia. Of the three mics I sold on Craigslist, two buyers were from California. I'd prefer local, but I'd prefer selling over not.

That being said, I don't how far behind the people around you actually are, but Craigslist is all over your area and there are quite a few gear ads in Milwaukee and Madison. Besides, like I said, people are Google searching gear ads on Craigslist (I do). In all, what's the harm in taking 10 minutes to post ads in those places?

http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/

http://madison.craigslist.org/

http://appleton.craigslist.org/

http://greenbay.craigslist.org/

Anyway, I was just trying to help. I should know better Slap ....forget I said anything. Sorry for intruding on your FS ad and good luck selling the mic.

Mad

It's really geeky but you have something here. The U195 was my first, and for a few years my only good LDC. I got alot done with it and it's a fine mic. I'd like to know it was going to a good new home! Bawling Wink
