[ We're just getting started with the forum, and may change these bullet points as needed. ]
We encourage you to use this space for multiple purposes. Use it as little or as much as you like. Keep a journal and history of your studio developments. This can include images attachments, gear lists, ideas, drawings, plans, wishlists... Link-O-Rama Also use your space - preferably in the first few posts - to make links to your studio website if you have one, MySpace, GarageBand or IAC-type sites where you may keep other info and files. Use your Journal as a portal on the net. Session notes. Keep notes on sessions, gear A/B sessions, pictures of mic placement. Helping others By keeping a journal you can help others along the path, by showing your journey. Your good ideas. Your lousy ideas. Where you went right. Where you wasted time and/or money. Where you are and where you're going. We all get into conversations in various forums sometimes about our studios, and it would help if you could click on a topic that would have the members' studio info - to give everyone a better idea of what's going on. Not all members have actual websites for their studios, and it can help others with making recommendations and playing around with ideas if they can see some of what you're about. Everyone at their own pace This is not a competition about who has the most stuff. Everyone has their own journey. Take things here at your own pace. Be creative Just as with music, be creative in the use of your Studio Journals space. Just start ONE topic Everyone just has one topic in Studio Journals. And have - or should have - the ability to lock your topic if you like. --------------------------- Dan Richards The Listening Sessions --------------------------- Pro Audio Consulting (866) 409-3686 |

We've also recently set Studio Forums so there is no "edited by...." stamp if you later go into your posts and change something. So feel free to go back in your own topics to make updates and changes as needed.
