I'm nervous about the levels on the lead at the end - I haven't had a lot of those to mix. I tried to put it pretty far in front.

Thoughts?

I don't think there's anything wrong with the levels of the lead at the end.

I don't really care for the distortion you have on the vocals on every track you've posted, though. Except for that, I really like your production work.

i'm thinking of removing that tape plug in from every vocal - i've just never got any good feedback on it.

Yeah, if it were up to me, I'd yank the distortion plugin.

However, there's one section in Mary Ann where I think it works great. You know the part where the groove gets really spacious and opens up? I think the lyrics are something like, "like a discontinued TV show...... forgotten." I really dig the effect during that section - I think you should leave it.

That kind of effect is pretty gimmicky, and it seems easy to over do it. Every once in a while, though, it's cool.

Really like the ambient sounds in there and I semi-agree with the distortion thing ...it just needs to be more or less ...you have it in a weird area ...just enough to make it seem like something was distorting in the vocal chain. I'd either pull it back or add slightly more and see how it worked. I'd also try another snare sound.
