I like the song, it sounds like the limiter is to hot to me, kinda hypersmashed, creating an overall mix distortion.
The guitars are very dominate, possibly pull the back a small amount to let the rest of the mix breath, especially during the prechorus harmony OOOOO's

Drum tracks sound great!!!

Just my 2 cents

Great song and arrangement Waytogo

yeah, it's very limited. . . but for about 4-6 hours worth of work, including writing the verses, i'm reasonably happy. . . we're going to be tracking the real deal with roger alan nichols at toy box here in nashville, so thankfully i won't have to worry about the engineering end of things. . . It will be the first project i've done to tape (pray to god i'm not let down) this just opens major doors as far as a lot of the work i do with songwriters, and is a great tool for personal songwriting and licensing opportunities. . .unfortunately less money for drummers, but it's great to be able to change things mid-stream when working out arrangements with songwriters, and still have decent sounding drums. . . . I mean, things ARE pretty tight here in music city. it's no substitute for a great drummer, but has proven to be a great writing tool. I can't wait to hear the final product.

haha probably not the same roger nichols of steely dan fame that you're thinking of. . . slightly younger. This is the guy that developed a band called paramore with a partner. well known around nashville, but not nearly the famed producer as the other.

I'm diggin this song! The mix is real nice, although pulling the guitars down would make the vocals sit nicely. I like the bassline and it gives the song a real Maroon 5/Killers feel. Good luck in Nashville!
