What started off as a recording-related directory for articles and links by Dan Lemon at studiocover.com is now at
http://theprojectstudiohandbook.com/directory.htm As many of you know, studiocovers.com was a great resource. The domain expired last year and the site began to slip into virtual oblivion. With his permission and good blessings, Dan Lemon has handed the torch over to The Project Studio Handbook. The directory was fully updated in February 2004. Bad links were removed and new links added. This is still a big project and a forum seemed worthy and helpful in the area of cataloging and adding new links as well as reporting bad links. Also we're open to suggestions and feedback for new areas on the directory and any other ideas. --------------------------- Dan Richards The Listening Sessions --------------------------- Pro Audio Consulting (866) 409-3686 |

Hi Neil,
Sure! You can start a Multi-Channel/ Surround topic here and put in a few links to articles and information in those areas. We can add more links and then make a section on the website when it's updated. --------------------------- Dan Richards The Listening Sessions --------------------------- Pro Audio Consulting (866) 409-3686 |

Great news!
I'll be on it this week. One fairly long & in depth post coming up, complete with links & articles etc. Should be happening fairly soon. |

Dan-
I've got this particular forum bookmarked on my studio PC...it's a tremendous asset. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------- What you've just typed is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever seen. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. |

I dont see anything anywhere on spectrum analysis...that would be something nice to cover i think, especially for those of us who have theless than perfect mixing environment.
Awesome tutorial/info repository. thanks SM |

Kyudan,
Like to get a listing on your directory of retailers for my client on your page Websites 5: Retailers under the heading 'Pro-Audio'. They would like the link URL and Title to be DJ Equipment. If a second category listing is possible we would also like placement in Websites 1: Recording with the following listing under the heading 'Websites': Disc Jockey Equipment Hope this is the right place to make this request. Thanks for your consideration. JH |

I've launched a new microphone database that I think will be useful to your directory users.
It has profiles of over 450 microphones, with more added daily. The goal is to catalog every mic ever made. In some cases, we just have the vendor's specs and marketing blurbs, but the goal is to go way beyond that to get the inside story on every microphone, including usage tips, mods, and soundalike models. The database is also searchable, making it easy to get a list list of (for example) all large-diaphragm condensers, or stereo ribbons, or supercardioid dynamics, etc. Start here: Microphone database and search engine The site's homepage is a blog where we'll be posting interviews, studio tours, mic shootouts, and more. http://recordinghacks.com/ We'd love your feedback. Let me know how I can make this better! Thank you. |

I have a web site I'd like added to the directory. The site is all about church sound systems. The site covers the basics to the advanced stuff. For example, EQ 101 and Harmonics. Readers will find tips and tricks, and a variety of ways tehir church services can sound better. We also link out to some FOH church blogs.
The site is here: http://www.behindthemixer.com Hopefully this post works as I had all sorts of problems opening a full post form. |
