Read a review of this in Resolution and it sounds like it's a winner? I think it looks great too!

I've got an acquaintance here in town with an SPL Transient Designer that he's fond about. They seem to make some interesting gear.

Oh, I'd love a Transient Designer! They are meant to be a life saver for recovering dead and lifeless drums etc, but I'd love to give them a go on decently recorded drums to give them real balls!!

I've heard the Transient Designer in action and it's pretty impressive. I'd like to have one myself along with a Soundfield microphone. Of course, I want a great room as well. And, I want a Steinway.

I've had a Transient Designer here for about a year. Amazing for drums, sometimes really useful for "drying up" too much room sound on other sources too. I've also used it to add more pick attack to an acoustic guitar track.
