This does look really interesting. Ribbon mic users should also check out Dan Richard's review of the DACS Clarity Mic Pre on the Studio Reviews website. The DACS also offers ribbon users a dedicated input that is separated from phantom power circuitry, for maximum fidelity, and it is stunningly quiet even at high gain settings. It's a versatile and often overlooked piece of gear and some of us even find its somewhat goofy looking purple front panel attractive.

I´m sure DACS is great but that´s much more $$$. The price for AEA pre should be under a grand.
