That thing looks sooo cool... I listened to all the demo's today... That price is a very unfortunate feature though.

I think they halved the price of the original Variax after a while, so hopefully they'll drop this one too.

u can dial in alternate tunings too...... Has anyone heard it recorded?

There are demos at the Line 6 page. Alternate tunings might get confusing on an acoustic, because the unaltered tuning would resonate as well, wouldn't it? Might make for some cool harmonys though.
