This may not be a new item but I have not found it on any topic.
Røde D-Power pre, plug into your dynamic mic. This increases gain by about 10-15 dB. It is an active, 48 V phantom powered mic amp.

In Line Cable Mounted Amplifier

The D-PowerPlug is effectively a ‘Turbo Charger’ for
Dynamic microphones!
Features an instrumentation grade pre-amplifier circuit,
D-PowerPlug will turn any standard dynamic microphone into
a high level electronically balanced output device.
Using conventional microphones with long multi-core cables
results in a dramatic loss of signal strength, and of course
sound quality due to cable resistance and capacitance.
Powered by standard P48 V, D-PowerPlug can drive cables in excess of 100 m with negligible loss of signal quality or power.

Compatible with standard XLR connectors.

Anyone know if this plug in would work on a ribbon mic?

Why the phantom power? Does it also handle condensers?

Honestly I don't know. I was hoping Dot or someone could help with this one.

I was wondering what it might do for the low out put of a 441 or ribbon mic.

1) to boost the signal, says so right in the description. 2) Since it goes in between the mic and the cable supplying the phantom power, likely not.
