D'oh! Missed that - Sorry - It's not too big - The small edge dimensions are a little over 10' x a little over 18' (there are small angles that I can't remember the outward dimensions). I was worried about it at first - It was an "available space" design that I was a little leary on. But 25 bass traps later, I'm pretty thrilled. Actually I was thrilled with the first 16 bass traps. After that was just icing.

Man I was scared when I was moving to my new space too(16x13). I used to be lucky with rooms & they usually didn't have too much to take care of, but this one wasn't one of them. After 16 2x6 traps I'm happy. I wish I had money to spend for icing man , probably later. O shit... I forgot I've added 4 4x2 later, but still wouldn't mind more.

Height - An irregular pitch, but it doesn't stray too far from 8' at the lowest point and only several inches the other way - Heavily trapped, of course, varying densities of insulation above (and lots of it). Patchbay - Yes and no - I have a bay that the main I/O are hooked into, along with the "irregulars" (mic preamps, VLA, the Aphex stuff, the Quantum II, the SSL comp - Stuff that isn't used often). Handy for when I want to put something in the point-to-point chain or need to "get flexible" all of a sudden. The occasional voice-over or what not. Playback devices (analog I/O) also go to the bay. Re-cabling everything soon also... It's going to be a little more simplified... Playback, converters and only a couple other devices to the bay.

Doesn't sound like bass trapping just reading the name.

A couple? You will probably need a dozen or more. Helmholz resonators are expensive & difficult to build, I don't think that's a good start for acoustic treatment. Didn't you say this was for mastering room? Why Helmholz? Do you need upper frequencies to be untouched?

Thanks man, and yep, mastering, and no of course i will treat the upper frequencies, main reason (this is if i DIY, most probably i will buy a moreorless complete solution) i found the helmholz intresting is because of its tunability. But i'm curious about if u guys use Diffusers. If NOT then Why? IF, then what kind and to what extent.

GIK's and RealTraps here - Along with a few custom units (the door, the front set). This room wasn't long enough for diffusers... No foam - Foam isn't bass trapping. Not even foam that says "bass trapping" on it is bass trapping in most cases. Especially not the cheesy foam from certain place that sell foam via postal. Goodness... You should see the test results on some of that stuff...
