Hi , I am new on this forum. I hope perhaps one of you guys can help me find the FIRbox 2 . Last month I read a German article about mastering where some German mastering-engineers compared the Weiss digital EQ and The FIRbox2 with Avalon's Mastering Eq, Manley's Massive Passive (and some not specified mastering software plug-ins).The verdict was that the Firbox2 seemed to be the best digital eq and equally performing well in every frequency-department .Something that couldn't be said about the analogue outboard gear. They listened to the material after the AD-D/A- conversion, so that would say something about the quality of the converters as well! The mastering software plugs (?, no details about which plug's)...well anyway, the ones they used "were not up to par". I appreciate all my UAD plug-ins and I own Waves mastering plug -ins as well. For outboard I use Avalon 747, Drawmer 1969 Classic and TLA -eq2. Nevertheless, if I would find an extra really good digital EQ (and A/D converters )....I'd go for it. I can't seem to find the address on the net (getting as far as Kronauer...)
