A) Have you tried all the built-in plugs in WL?

B) UAD - Hard to beat...

B2) -- Whoops - Free... There are some decent plugs out there from Voxengo, I think KVR Audio has a lead on some...

C) I haven't read the hairball manual in a while... Some of it made sense, some of it was nonsense.

Use your ears.

Well so far this is what i've done : -

1) Recorded Mix In - Quality is pretty gd
2) Normalized each DJ track - about 12 for the entire mix to -0.3 DB
4) Run The Analysis and the RMS Power is about - 15.38
5) Look at all the spectrum stuff and it seems to be looking gd in there so far

Now according to harbal i need to get the the RMS down to about 10 using various paragrahic EQ's etc... I think they use Wave Master Bundle....which is a bit out of my price range!

I guess i'm bumbling through the mastering process as I go but I'm quite happy doing a bit of research & learning as i go along.....

I'll have a look at the plug ins and check out your blog etc... thanks for the reply

I'd highly suggest NOT normalizing and simply using your ears. The plugs in WL are fine if you're just looking for "loud" (a monkey with a limiter can give you "loud"). Knowing how to control the damage - and when to STOP... That's the trick. And there aren't any plugins that will tell you when the mix is crying "UNCLE" - That's up to your ears.
